In project 2, I focused on modeling the negative spaces created from initial studies of my knot. Carrying over this emphasis on the inverse into project 3, I decided to focus my building around the sky and the negative spaces created by the site. A continuous ribbon of cast concrete, generated from the way pre-existing buildings on the site frame the sky, runs throughout the building. The rest of the edifice is built around this major move, providing further interaction with the sky through controlled views and different levels of opacity to allow varying amounts of light in.
